This website was developed by Jonathan and Heather LeBlanc for the bariatric community. In April of 2007 Heather underwent gastric bypass surgery. Even though we were lucky enough to have a good support system around us during this time, the period prior to and following surgery was very difficult. We found it hard to locate any community where we could interact with other individuals going through the same thing at any time and place, or when trying to find information on what we could or could not do during the different post surgical stages.

This is the reason we created MyBariatric.net. We wanted to provide the community with a resource where they could ask questions, share ideas and stories, and connect with individuals around the globe. Everyone is welcome in this community, be it for information, as a support group or for the families and friends of patients going through this lifestyle change.
